Hybrid analog-digital coding for nonuniform memoryless sources

摘要: In this paper, we propose a hybrid analog-digital scheme for the transmission of non-uniform memoryless sources over Additive White Gaussian Noise (AWGN) channels. The is constructed by generating most output symbols from standard linear combinations input bits, as in Rate Compatible Modulation (RCM), and few them using Low Density Generator Matrix (LDGM) code. basic idea that RCM corrects errors, leaving residual errors to be corrected LDGM Source non-uniformity exploited at decoder encoder optimized depending on source further improve system performance.
