摘要: Acacia saligna and A. salicina phyllodes, harvested in autumn from young mature trees, were fed as sole diets to goats (20·3 (s.d. 4·8) kg; no. = 16) sheep (32·6 4·9) 16). Crude protein of phyllodes trees was 111 g/kg dry matter (DM) ranged between 121 132 DM. Condensed tannins ash content about twice high old ones gross energy higher than ones. DM intakes by both tree species low: 24·8 13·7 M0·75 per day for respectively. Corresponding 20·4 11·5 day. Metabolizable up 125 99 kj/kg sheep, respectively trees. Goats lost 219 glday 346 g/day negative nitrogen balance. DM, organic apparent digestibilities low all but generally sheep. It is concluded that neither nor could be used a food small ruminants because balances. This appears due tannin content.
