摘要: Body condition scoring (using a 5-point scale with quarter-point divisions) was performed on 66 Holstein dairy cows that began their second or later lactation in August, September, October 1988. Cows' body scored beginning postpartum day 4 (+/- 1) and subsequently at days 18, 32, 46, 60, 73 87. Blood samples were obtained the same dates. Reproductive health examinations conducted by 1 of 2 veterinarians 21. performance evaluated relation to score serum urea nitrogen cholesterol concentrations. Number first recorded signs estrus breeding not related calving, amount loss, cumulative 80-day milk yield, 305-day fat corrected yield. Cows calved greater than equal 3.50 required more conceive. losing 0.75 points had longer conception. calving lost services per conception diagnosis follicular cyst.
