摘要: OntoClean is an approach towards the formal evaluation of taxonomic relations in ontologies. The application consists two main steps. First, concepts are tagged according to meta-properties known as rigidity, unity, dependency and identity. Second, checked predefined constraints discover errors. Although well documented numerous publications, it still used rather infrequently due high costs application. Especially, manual tagging with correct requires substantial efforts highly experienced ontology engineers. In order facilitate use enable real-world ontologies, we provide AEON, a tool which automatically tags appropriate performs constraint checking. We Web embodiment world knowledge, where search for patterns that indicate how properly tag concepts. thoroughly evaluated our against manually created gold standard. shows competitiveness while at same time significantly lowering costs. All results, i.e. AEON experiment data, publicly available.
