摘要: Background:The endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress pathway may play a role in the pathogenesis multiple sclerosis (MS), and while ER stress-associated molecules have been demonstrated white matter (WM) lesions, these not analysed grey (GM) demyelination.Objective:The objective was to characterise type frequency of GM lesions establish expression profiles stress- hypoxia-associated markers.Methods:Sections from 16 MS cases 12 non-MS controls were stained for (BiP CHOP) D110 antigen.Results:Of analysed, 24% 1 (continuous between WM), 22% 2 (entirely within GM) majority (54%) 3 (extending pia mater).
