摘要: The selective degradation, oxidation, and characterization of hydroxyethyl starch (HES) was successfully carried out. Different mass fractions HES were obtained through degradation either using acidic (hydrochloric acid) or enzymatic (α-amylase) hydrolysis under controlled pH, temperature, concentration. degraded samples oxidized sodium hypochlorite solution to convert cyclic ether into carboxylic acid group. tested for their molar masses structural properties different techniques. further characterized FTIR, 1H NMR spectroscopy. solubility check also performed a significant enhancement in water the products observed which increased on oxidation. This may be utilized enhance drugs coupling with HES.
