Thorium(IV) and uranium(VI) sorption studies on octacarboxymethyl-C-methylcalix[4]resorcinarene impregnated on a polymeric support

摘要: Abstract The impregnation of octacarboxymethyl- C -methylcalix[4]resorcinarene into a polymeric matrix, Amberlite XAD-4, is reported and was characterized by infrared spectroscopy. sorption capacity the impregnated resin 0.34×10 −3  mol g −1 . used for thorium(IV) uranium(VI) from aqueous solution. properties capacity, pH effect, breakthrough curves were investigated. Th(IV) U(VI) found to be 0.29 0.27×10 , respectively. metal ions eluted with 0.4–2 M HCl or HNO 3 Chromatographic separation accomplished adjustment 3.0 6.0, exhibits high chemical stability, reusability fast equilibration. Separation other cations in synthetic solution achieved.
