摘要: Abstract Schizophrenia is one of the leading causes disability among mental disorders, contributing to a substantial socioeconomic burden. Our understanding mechanisms pathogenesis disease has largely been limited by its inherent complexity imparted polygenicity and interactions with environmental factors. Since pathobiological events are initiated in schizophrenic brain long before onset psychotic manifestations, characterizing these processes limited, mainly due lack access neuronal tissues. Induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) technologies have provided an unprecedented opportunity establish cells from patients schizophrenia differentiate them into lineage, enabling vitro recapitulation disease. Despite challenges, patient-derived iPSC studies instrumental unraveling cellular molecular phenotypes that might be involved biological causality. Here we review literature focus on utilized iPSCs model schizophrenia. We also discuss challenges modeling
