Time dependent twinning during ambient temperature creep of α TiMn alloy

摘要: To improve the properties of existing Ti alloys or to design new with improved ambient temperature creep resistance, one must understand fundamental deformation mechanisms. With this goal in mind authors have initiated a systematic study determine mechanisms [alpha], [alpha] - [beta] and as function microstructure alloying elements. During initial stages investigation practically important scientifically interesting phenomenon, namely, time dependent twinning during at constant stress coarse grained Ti-Mn alloy, has been observed. The aim paper is report phenomenon describe its role creep.
