摘要: Lithium-sulfur (Li-S) batteries have recently received great attention because they promise to provide energy density far beyond current lithium ion batteries. Typically, Li-S operate by conversion of sulfur reversibly form different soluble polysulfide intermediates and insoluble sulfides through multistep redox reactions. Herein, we report a functional electrolyte system incorporating dimethyl disulfide as co-solvent that enables new electrochemical reduction pathway for cathodes. This uses polysulfides organosulfides products, which can boost cell capacity lead improved discharge-charge reversibility cycling performance potentially enable achieve high density.
