摘要: Field experiments were conducted at the New Developmental Research Farm of NWFP Agricultural University, Peshawar during 2002-03 and 2003-04 to investigate impacts nitrogen (N) rate its time application on leaf area, plant height biomass yield maize (Zea mays L., cv. Azam) planted low high density. Factorial experimental treatments comprising two densities (P1 = 60,000 P2 100,000 plants ha -1 ) three rates (N1 60, N2 120 N3 180 kg N kept in main plots, while six split for different proportions subplots growth stages equal (S1), (S2), unequal (S3), four (S4), five (S5) splits (S6) sowing with 1 st , 2 nd 3 rd 4 th irrigation weeks intervals. Mean single area (MSLA), was significantly higher than 2003-04. Maize produced taller ear heights as well MSLA per (LAPP), showed a remarkable increase increasing number applications. It is concluded that growing density 50% (180 recommended (120 can could result maximum hence productivity crop.
