摘要: Historic plasters from wall paintings of Byzantine and post-Byzantine churches situated in the Balkan region were studied. All made with fresco technique are dated IX - XVI century. Plaster samples followed room temperature to 1000°C by Thermogravimetric (TG) Differential Thermal Analysis (DTA), one or two significant regions, corresponding thermal decomposition mechanisms observed. The analysis plaster composition characterization was carried out using also, Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM). Although main components calcite quartz (from sand) different proportions, there differences between them such as presence gypsum being either a constituent element due environmental pollution. results examined comparatively taking into account creation time place paintings.
