摘要: Tying complex psychological processes to precisely defined neural circuits is a major goal of systems and behavioural neuroscience. This critical for understanding adaptive behaviour, also how are altered in states psychopathology, such as addiction. Efforts relate relevant addiction activity within have been complicated by heterogeneity. Recent advances technology allow manipulation mapping genetically anatomically neurons, which when used concert with sophisticated models, the potential provide great insight into circuit bases behaviour. Here we discuss contemporary approaches reward addiction, focus on midbrain dopamine cortico-striato-pallidal circuits.
