摘要: Abstract Techniques of induced spawning as practised at Batu Berendam, Melaka, were developed from 1974 to 1986. Early attempts using salmon gonadotropin SG-G100 found be effective but very expensive. Alternatively, the technique hypophysation, that is, injection either homoplastic or heteroplastic pituitary gland extract, was adopted. Freshly prepared acetone-pre-served extracts mature bighead and silver carp administered spawners; 30 times cheaper than SG-G100. In addition, use acetone-dried common extract produced more consistent results. Using this technique, we able induce in local well exotic carps. More refined human chorionic with proved equally on carps catfish. Some dosages have been standardized, particular for carp, Aristichthys nobilis , Hypophthalmichthys molitrix Leptobarbus hoevenii striped catfish, Pangasius sutchi . The most recent development is administration luteinizing hormone-releasing hormone analog P. singly combination extract.
