摘要: The vertical distribution of invertebrates in bed sediments was studied a gravel stream the hercynian region Central Europe, using freeze-cores to depth 70 cm at two sites with different flow conditions, taken on five occasions. About 78% were concentrated upper 20 cm layer. invertebrate communities sites varied in abundance, diversity, and stability of vertical with time. Densities invertebrates were not limited by fine grain content showed a site-specific relationship organic carbon content. Depth optima negatively correlated surface water temperature, but measured hydraulic parameters. Among individual taxa, Nematoda deepest depth optimum.
