摘要: Abstract Given the booming of bioenergy plants under construction in Piedmont, Northern Italy, Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) was used order to assist public decision-makers during evaluation new projects. Local administrators are fact worried that incentives granted producers, regardless overall environmental performance, might not encourage technological innovation and eco-efficiency, or bring unwanted indirect effects. A detailed LCA production from dedicated crops (maize, sorghum, triticale miscanthus) manure through anaerobic digestion combined heat power generation carried out. The model particularly focused on end-of-life digestate site-specific data related impact adopted energy conversion technologies. It confirmed is automatically synonymous with sustainable energy, as differences terms performance can be remarkable. EROI (Energy Return Investment) index estimated 3–5. potential GHG saving depends several factors it heavily influenced by reference non-renewable substituted. End-of-life found crucial for acidification eutrophication, but also emissions. Finally, particulates equivalent emissions were very large comparison modern natural gas plants.
