摘要: Abstract The rates for electronic quenching of the A ( 0 u + ) state Bi2 by rare gases and nitrogen near onset predissociation, v′ = 18–23, have been measured using pulsed laser induced fluorescence. rate coefficient helium is 2.2 ± 0.1 × 10−11 cm3/molecule s v′ = 18–22, increases to 1.0 ± 0.1 × 10−10 cm3/molecule s v′ = 23. probability per collision v′ = 22 ranges from 0.03 0.44 v′ = 23 0.15 0.80. probabilities are slightly larger than those argon. Despite rotationally dependent predissociation at v′ = 21, no significant dependence on rotational J′
