摘要: Abstract Scabiosa comosa inflorescence is a traditional Mongolian medicine in the treatment of liver diseases. In study, we investigated anti-fibrotic efficacy flavonoid-rich extract (TF-SC) rat model CCl4-induced hepatic fibrosis and explored its underlying mechanism vitro vivo. Rats (Wistar, Male, weight 200–250 g) were injected intraperitoneally with CCl4 (1:1v/v peanut oil, 2 mL/kg body weight) to induce fibrosis, followed by TF-SC or vehicle. addition, transforming growth factor-β1 (TGF-β1)-activated stellate cells (HSCs) used for measuring Smad3 phosphorylation. We found decrease function markers serums. Also, decreased hydroxyproline content collagen deposition tissues. also expression α-SMA, I fibronectin rats. Mechanistically, attenuated selectively inhibiting TGF-β1-stimulated HSCs, blocked interaction between TGF-β type receptor (TβRI), suppressed subsequent phosphorylation nuclear translocation Smad3, down-regulated transcription fibrotic genes. conclusion, study demonstrated that was an effective therapeutic agent provided molecular basis through which exerts effects.
