摘要: Astrophysical research has traditionally been divided into observations and theoretical modeling or a combination of both. A component sometimes missing the ability to quantitatively test models in an experimental setting where initial final states are well characterized. Intense lasers now being used recreate aspects astrophysical phenomena laboratory, allowing creation beds can be compared with laboratory data. Experiments under development at intense laser facilities refine our understanding such as supernovae, supernova remnants, gamma-ray bursts, giant planets.
