Factors involved in cancer metastasis: a better understanding to "seed and soil" hypothesis

摘要: Metastasis has intrigued researchers for more than 100 years. Despite the development of technologies and therapeutic strategies, metastasis is still major cause cancer-related death until today. The famous “seed soil” hypothesis widely cited accepted, it provides significant instructions in cancer research To our knowledge, there are few reviews that comprehensively correlatively focus on both seed soil factors involved metastasis; moreover, despite fact increasingly underlying mechanisms concepts have been defined recently, previous perspectives appealing but may be limited. Hence, we reviewed metastasis, including factors. By integrating new with classic hypothesis, aim to provide a comprehensive understanding conceptualize framework metastasis. Based dynamic overview this field, also discuss potential implications future clinical strategies.
