摘要: Microwave irradiation has been a promising alternative to conduct several chemical reactions. In this work the microwave effects in potassium persulfate decomposition rate, under controlled conditions of temperature and power, were evaluated. Higher rate constants obtained irradiated reactions comparison with conventional heated ones. To study effect high power irradiation, pulsed strategy was developed, which samples repeatedly within short intervals time at levels (500 or 1400 W). A great percentage achieved shorter times, showing kinetic advantages microwave-assisted However, it found no differences reaction yields, even when involved, proving that enhancements may arise only from ability quickly provide large amount energy medium.
