摘要: The female reproductive strategies of Mugil curema Valenciennes 1836 and liza occurring in a tropical bay southeastern Brazil were found to differ. Gonadosomatic index values macroscopic staging gonads showed that M. spawning took place between August January, while occurred May August. began just before the rainy season, whereas spawned during dry season. Estimates absolute fecundity (F) relative (RF) significantly greater ( P < 0.01) for (mean F = 308 × 104 ± 10 4 3 ; mean RF 1396.42 67.02) than 415 32 750.54 40.52). Oocyte diameters slightly (0.55 0.82 mm) (0.49 0.71 mm). Temporal segregation season may avoid interspecific competition offspring recruit inner areas. Additionally, oocyte size increase chance success when there is less food resources early juveniles.
