摘要: Electrochemical science and technology in the 21st century have reached high levels of sophistication. A fundamental quantum mechanical theoretical frame for interfacial electrochemical electron transfer (ET) was introduced by Revaz Dogonadze. This has remained four decades as a basis comprehensive later work data interpretation many areas chemistry, electrochemistry, biology. We discuss here some new ET science, with focus on nanoscale bioelectrochemical sciences. Particular attention is given to situ scanning tunneling microscopy (STM) single-electron (SET, or Coulomb blockade) electrochemical. systems directly aqueous electrolyte solution at room temperature. illustrate formalism its perspectives recent cases SET, negative differential resistance patterns, dynamics organized assemblies biological macromolecules, such redox metalloproteins oligonucleotides single-crystal Au(111)-electrode surfaces.
