Genus zero surface conformal mapping and its application to brain surface mapping

摘要: We developed a general method for global conformal parameterizations based on the structure of cohomology group holomorphic one-forms surfaces with or without boundaries (Gu and Yau, 2002), 2003). For genus zero surfaces, our algorithm can find unique mapping between any two manifolds by minimizing harmonic energy map. In this paper, we apply to cortical surface matching problem. use mesh represent brain surface. Further constraints are added ensure that map is unique. Empirical tests magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) data show mappings preserve angular relationships, stable in MRIs acquired at different times, robust differences triangulation, resolution. Compared other algorithms, more has good extensibility.
