摘要: A terrain-awareness system (TAS) provides LOOK-AHEAD/LOOK-DOWN as well LOOK-UP terrain advisory and warning indications to the pilot of an aircraft a hazardous flight condition. The TAS includes airport data base that is structured provide various resolutions depending on topography particular geographic area interest. Navigational from satellite-based navigational system, such global positioning (GPS), used based upon current position projected path aircraft. Since signals are function aircraft, nuisance warnings minimized.
