摘要: Our previous study reports that short-term exposure to sublethal concentrations of benzo[a]pyrene (BaP) induces immunomodulation in the gastropod abalone, Haliotis diversicolor. In present study, it was further observed long-term chronic BaP modulated immunocompetence abalones terms change activity antioxidant and immune associated parameters tested. addition, effect tributyltin (TBT), another important genotoxicant aquatic environment, investigated. Exposure TBT for 21 days resulted significant decrease total hemocyte count, phagocytosis, membrane stability lysozyme activity. Conversely induction extra intra cellular superoxide generation, nitric oxide, oxide synthase myeloperoxidase when were exposed BaP. Most tested showed clear time dependent response both toxicants. Within 14 after day BaP, recovery as evidenced by most returning their normal level. However, no within continued elevation nitrite production THC, This suggested a prolonged TBT-induced impact on reaction possibly more damage than caused Overall results suggest or causes modulations with being stimulated, this might be harmful host.
