摘要: An apparatus and method for management of nosocomial infections associated with indwelling catheters, in which an antimicrobial agent-based infection intervention device, such as iodine-bearing flexible rod, may be inserted, dwell within the catheter lumen, removed through a side arm tube extending from catheter. The minimize interference use lumen other medical procedures, eliminates undesired exposure proximal end to atmosphere, and/or prevents back-bleeding fluids during insertion or removal device.
