Numerical simulation of natural convection of a water-based nanofluid

摘要: We simulated steady and unsteady natural convection flows of a nanofluid in square cavity. If the particle distribution is perfectly uniform there reduction heat transfer rates about 1% comparison with those corresponding to pure liquid. The Lagrangian tracking particles shows that no preferential concentration particles. However local instantaneous fluctuations induced by finite number produce reductions 2-3%. migration model used predicts negligible non-uniformities distribution.
