摘要: In recent years there has been a trend towards conservative treatment for symptomatic uterine fibroids. Historically, myomectomy the operation of choice. Over past few years, however, new minimally invasive procedures have evolved. These include laparoscopic myomectomy, myolysis, artery embolisation and, more recently, magnetic resonance-guided percutaneous laser ablation, interstitial photocoagulation and high-intensity focused ultrasound energy. Simultaneously, nonsurgical treatments including gonadotrophin-releasing hormone analogues levonorgestrel intrauterine system tried, with limited success. this era evidence-based medicine, thorough assessment available research data is necessary to determine place therapies in clinical practice. This review discusses various outlines pragmatic approach management fibroids women wishing preserve their uterus. should enable clinicians counsel regarding most appropriate option based on specific situation.
