摘要: In 100 knees undergoing a total replacement, the angles between tangent line of posterior condylar surfaces, anteroposterior axis as described by Whiteside, transepicondylar line, and trochlear were measured. Also measured sulcus angle, width, height condyles, thickness various cuts. Radiologic measurements made were: mechanical hip center-femoral shaft transcondylar tibial plateau-tibial angle. The mean values these calculated, comparisons according to gender using Student's t test. Correlations calculated. was found be reliable landmark properly rotate femoral component, easier locate at surgery than axis. dysplasia in some valgus knees, relying on can induce an excessive external rotation opposite happen varus knees. anterior extent condyles is highly variable arthritic cannot used orient prosthesis. ratio width constant, but narrow femora could require narrower implants avoid medial-lateral overhang component.
