摘要: Fiber-reinforced polymers (FRP) can provide a strengthening alternative for unreinforced and underreinforced masonry. The ease with which FRP be installed on the exterior of masonry wall makes this form attractive to owner, considering both reduced installation cost down time occupied structure. Six concrete walls (four at 1.8 m tall two 4.7 tall) were tested in out-of-plane flexure up capacity. strengthened glass composite composed unidirectional E-glass fabric an epoxy matrix. was adhered surface using same fibers oriented perpendicular bed joints. General flexural strength design equations are presented compared results testing. It found that overpredicted actual capacity test specimens by no more than 20%.
