摘要: U-Pb dating of detrital zircons from the Lower Cretaceous Sanbagawa and recently recognized Upper Shimanto high-pressure (HP) metamorphic rocks in southwestern Japan has revealed presence abundant Proterozoic (ca. 1500–2000 Ma) grains. In contrast, coeval non- to weakly metamorphosed accretionary complex (AC) forearc basin sediments lack these older signatures. The only possible source grains is Jurassic AC Japan, which structurally overlies HP units. were incorporated into protoliths HP-ACs, without polluting trench sediments, likely by tectonic erosion domain. Along Wadati-Benioff plane, peeled off sole part pre-existing crust mixed it with subducting prior peak metamorphism. subduction-related margin around occurred twice.
