摘要: The authors propose a broad analytic framework for understanding the relationships between globalization, gender and work. They argue that way researchers, government officials development practitioners think about globalization's effects on gendered division of labor is basis upon which to develop effective strategies reduce inequalities. outline major trends recent period globalization their labor, including more macro- trade, production finance women's roles. investigate micro-impacts through four growing networks: export production, sex work, domestic service microfinance income generation. also examine role governments find that, satisfy demands international institutions address some citizens' needs, many have been pushed into fostering these types global networks grown substantially as result processes there are systemic linkages expansion trade increase women in networks.
