摘要: The cultural heritage of Kisipidi, a satellite newari settlement Kathmandu constitutes the physical setting and socio-religious activities, which is linked by practice in form daily ritual, celebration various festivals, community’s social norms including traditional institution ‘guthi’ system. Though town had been sustained for last many centuries, failure to continue such socioeconomic modernisation at present has resulted formation incompatible built form, decaying community spaces, reduction socialisation religious activities increase environmental pollution. All these emerging problems are first stage destruction. However, they can not be addressed through existing legal institutional framework due its inadequacy and ineffectiveness. In situation, integration both ‘top down’ approach ‘bottom up’ strategy formulating conservation oriented development plan (and program) level reviving socio-cultural local urban design techniques essential.
