Enalapril-induced eosinophilic gastroenteritis.

摘要: Eosinophilic gastroenteritis is a rare disorder of unknown etiology. We describe case 63-year-old woman with chronic diarrhea and eosinophilia. Small bowel biopsy revealed eosinophils in large clusters the lamina propria focal infiltration epithelium. The patient's eosinophilia started shortly after enalapril was prescribed. When patient instructed to stop taking that drug, her promptly ceased, blood eosinophil level returned normal. This first reported eosinophilic associated an angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor. should be entertained differential diagnosis patients inhibitors who develop or other gastrointestinal symptoms.
