摘要: Results are presented which show that the thermal partitioning coefficient in shallow-cut grinding is much lower than thought previously but only when workpiece temperature below about 100° C for a water based fluid. By drawing parallels with creep-feed it suggested fluid film boiling may be viable criterion by to avoid damage and achieve good surface integrity.
