摘要: Despite loss of natural habitat due to development and urbanization, certain species like the Rhesus macaque have adapted well urban environment. With abundant food no predators, populations increased substantially in areas, leading frequent conflicts with humans. Overpopulated areas often witness macaques raiding crops, feeding on bird snake eggs as destruction nests, thus adversely affecting other ecosystem. In order mitigate these adverse effects, sterilization has emerged a humane effective way population control macaques. As requires physical capture individuals or groups, their unique identification is integral such measures. this work, we propose Macaque Face Identification (MFID), an image based, non-invasive tool that relies facial recognition identify individuals, can be used verify if they are sterilized. Our primary contribution robust verification module designed for macaques, but extensible non-human primate species. We evaluate performance MFID dataset 93 monkeys under closed set, open set evaluation protocols. Finally, also report state art results when evaluating our proposed model endangered
