Investigation of a Switchable Textile Communication System on the Human Body

摘要: In this paper, a switchable textile communication system working at 2.45 GHz ISM band is presented and studied for different locations within realistic on-body environment. A 3D laser scanner used to generate numerical phantom of the measured subject improve accuracy simulations which are carried out body postures. For off-body communications, acting as an aperture coupled microstrip patch antenna with boresight gain 1.48 dBi. On-body achieved by using stripline, gives approximately 5 dB transmission loss over 600 mm distance. The switched between on modes PIN diodes. Common issues, such shape distortion detuning effects may experience in use fully discussed. Robust performance noted tests, additional 3 coefficient deduction was noticed most severe case.
