摘要: Abstract The recently discovered, and unexpectedly rich, dinosaurian ichnological record of Italy, has proven to be integral the paleogeographic understanding peri-Mediterranean area, is updated refined herein. Through analysis stratigraphic, spatial, geodynamic contexts entirety current dataset, three distinct associations are recognized (Late Triassic–Early Jurassic, Late Tithonian–Late Cenomanian Coniacian–Maastrichtian). While first last can largely encompassed by pre-existing models, assemblage requires further investigation. To account for spatio-temporal distribution evidence a model that invokes repeated dinosaur migrations from Africa Southern Italian Carbonate Platforms up needed. At end this time interval still-poorly-known, extensional tectonic phase broke Adria causing occurrence locally requiring re-evaluation models region.
