摘要: Over the last two decades dairy industry has encountered some major changes and as a result farmer’s attention shifted from cow- towards herd-level approach by means of close monitoring herd level parameters. The overall aim this thesis was to critically review how useful current somatic cell count (SCC) parameters are for udder health on producers processors, if necessary suggest improvements recommendations use these For large number farms worldwide bulk SCC (BMSCC) is parameter available monitor trends in health. In it assessed reflects average all individual lactating cows, correlation with prevalence cows subclinical mastitis, sampling interval variation BMSCC data affected accuracy describe measured detailed series data. Subsequently examined which cow factors, management practices, seasonal fluctuations contributed (HSCC) factors found studies Europe United States also applied different environment such Australian farms. Finally, support decision regarding model predict next month developed. Briefly stated, main conclusions described are: - less tool when recording available; difference between up 40%; When only at level, should be anticipated that likely will underestimate subclinicalmastitis; used detect trend HSCC, error describing increases significantly exceeds 4 d; outcome variable studies, proportion may inaccurately classified too low consequence, association certain practices could incorrect; contribution management, characteristics variables per HSCC therefore advice alterations given, taken into account; Management style might equally important impact practice implementation itself; EU have similar effect under conditions; An accurate prediction subsequent possible information account.
