摘要: Even though various commercial Smart City solutions are widely available on the market, we still witnessing their rather limited adoption, where typically bound to specific verticals or remain in pilot stages. In this paper argue that lack of a regulatory framework is one major obstacles for wider adoption services practice. Such should be accompanied by examples good practice which stress necessity adopting interoperable services. Development and deployment can incur significant costs cities, service providers sensor manufacturers, thus it vital adjust national legislation ensure legal certainty all stakeholders, at same time protect interests citizens state. Additionally, due vast number heterogeneous devices services, both existing future, interoperability becomes replicability massive leading digital transformation future cities. The provides classification technical characteristics IoT Cities mapped corresponding roles value chain. Four example use cases chosen—Smart Parking, Metering, Street Lighting Mobile Crowd Sensing—to showcase implications relevant each service. Based analysis, propose set recommendations role chain related requirements aforementioned analysis serve as hope they will facilitate longevity IoT-based
