摘要: We present predictions for number counts and redshift distributions of galaxies detectable in continuum emission lines with the Mid-infrared (MIR) Instrument (SMI) proposed Space Infrared Telescope Cosmology Astrophysics. have considered 24 MIR fine-structure lines, four polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon bands (at 6.2, 7.7, 8.6 11.3 μm) two silicate (in absorption) at 9.7 18.0 μm. Six these are primarily associated active galactic nuclei (AGNs), others star formation. A survey SMI spectrometers 1-h integration per field view (FoV) over an area 1 deg2 will yield 5σ detections ≃ 140 AGN 5.2 × 104 star-forming galaxies, 1.6 which be detected least lines. The combination a shallow (20.0 deg2, 1.4 10−1 h FoV) deep (6.9 10−3 deg2, 635 time), camera, total ∼1000 h, accurately determine AGNs five orders magnitude flux density, reaching values more than one order fainter deepest Spitzer 24 μm surveys. This allow us to cosmic formation rate (SFR) function down SFRs 100 times reached by Herschel Observatory.
