PREVALENCE OF C.TRACHOMATIS INFECTION AMONG AHVAZ FEMALES WITH VAGINAL DISCHARGE

摘要: Background: C. trachomatis is one of the most important agents sexually transmitted diseases (STD). Untreated cases vaginal infection with this bacterium may end up infertility, scaring and ectopic pregnancy. In silent (70-80%) but when overt occurs symptoms include: cervicitis, urethritis, endometritis. Since prevalence was not studied in our city, project performed to evaluate role bacterial agent vaginosis. Material Methods: Two hundred two specimens from discharge out-patients referring gynecology ward Ahvaz hospitals were collected tested for by PCR. Results: Out 202 specimens, 33 (16.3%) positive trachomatis. Conclusion: The findings study show a high which indicates that special attention must be paid detection management infection.
