摘要: Traditionally, the programmer’s working model of disk storage has consisted a set uniform cylinders, each with tracks, which in turn hold fixed number 512-byte sectors, unique address. The cylinder is made up concentric circles (or tracks) on platter multiplatter drive. Each track divided like pie slices into sectors. Because any location this three-dimensional space could be uniquely identified by number, head (surface) and sector formed basis for original programming drives: cylinder-head-sector access.
