摘要: Abstract In the present study, adsorption isotherms of a polycarboxylic-acid-type biosurfantant, sodium salt (2-(2-carboxyethyl)-3-decyl maleic anhydride) (DCMA-3Na), on TiO 2 , zeta potential, and changes in particle aggregate size as function biosurfactant concentration, solid-liquid ratio pH were systematically investigated. The DCMA-3Na surface shows relatively weak dependence pH, unlike behavior chemically-synthesized surfactants. Adsorption still occurs at above isoelectric points due to buffering capacity, which is three carboxylate functional groups hydrophilic moiety DCMA-3Na. Since has anionic head groups, potential 3 decreases very steeply from positive negative values charges are neutralized by biosurfactants. Trends potentials equilibrium concentration quite closely related flocculation individual particles.
