摘要: The effect of prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) on the circular and longitudinal contractions canine colon was studied in chronic conditions. A mechanical transducer capable recording simultaneously variations length two perpendicular directions at 90° to each other developed implanted 10 cm distal ileocaecal junction. sessions started 6th postoperative day. colonic motility recorded hours before (control period) after intravenous injection PGE2 three different doses (0.1, 1.0 µg/kg). Two sorts activity were identified: contractile phases (mean duration: 8.8 min for 6.7 contractions) sporadic 0.37 0.28 contractions).
