摘要: Abstract: Background and Objectives: The advent of the Internet has made in-home monitoring a possibility for patients suffering from chronic disease, although few studies have examined this phenomena across different disease states. goal review is to identify evaluate where randomized control trials were used Internet-mediated home systems designed manage support with diseases. Methods Results: We reviewed 454 abstracts articles describing computerbased health interventions read forty-three in depth. Seventeen met inclusion criteria selected review. Only completed randomized, controlled that reported physiological outcomes intervention included. Other results included populations studied, short long term effectiveness interventions, costs technology-related issues care provider communication. appear some benefit specific diseases circumstances. Few documented cost savings; none those did consistent measures. Studies seldom addressed challenges introducing sophisticated interactive-monitoring into patients’ homes, reasons attrition trials, or effects on work providers interprofessional practices. Conclusions: showed potential enhance management cases. However, duration it difficult generalize wider settings predict such over complicated courses Thus, despite hopes significant labour savings, homes will likely complement rather than replace usual care.
