摘要: The ability of WR-2721 [S-2(3-aminopropylamino)ethyl-phosporothioic acid] to selectively protect the host against toxic effects multiple doses cis-dichlorodiammineplatinum [cis-Pt] or cyclophosphamide [CY] has been studied in mice and rats bearing 3 different tumours. Selective protection cis-Pt induced nephrotoxicity demonstrated under all conditions studied, with extent being inversely related size dose. For example, pre-treatment 200 mg/kg 30 min before each weekly dose 2 allows administration this cytotoxic agent for times longer nephrotoxic injury. In none these studies was there tumour protection. same pattern observed CY, but quantitation marrow not possible treatment studies, due latent period between death drug. We conclude, therefore, that both drugs, selective kidney is only maintained treatment, actually enhanced need smaller agents protocols.
