Current Status of Mumps and Mumps Vaccine in the United States

摘要: Reported mumps in the United States has declined to all-time low levels following increasingly widespread use of mumps-virus vaccine. Mumps vaccine proven safe and effective. Its incorporation into combined live-virus vaccines, especially measles-mumps-rubella, made vaccination a practical economically feasible component routine immunization activities. Because favorable experience date with associated drop morbidity mortality, control programs likely will receive increasing public health attention coming years.
