摘要: Background: Routine human papilloma virus (HPV) vaccination for 1213-year-old girls will be introduced in the UK from September 2008. The aim of present study was to identify correlates parents anticipated uptake HPV their sons and daughters. Methods: Self-administered questionnaires were completed by 353 school-aged children living Brighton Hove (England). main outcome measure acceptance children. Putative predictors included general attitudes toward vaccination, beliefs about impact on adolescent sexual behaviour vaccines against sexually transmissible infections, knowledge cervical cancer. Results: Multivariate regression revealed that greater perceived benefits belief protection offered support health services explained substantial proportions variance vaccine acceptability both For daughters, most important correlate vaccination: this variable 4050% variance.
